The Lord was out in the boat with the disciples, when a raging storm hit. Waves crashed over the edge of the boat filling it with water. They tried desperately to remove the water, but more came! They cried out in despair, “Lord, don’t You care that we’re going to die?” Jesus stood with His hand raised up to the storm and simply said, “Peace, be still,” and the storm ceased. The disciples marveled saying, “Who is this Man, that the wind and the waves obey Him?” (Mark 4:35-41) Forward to 2023, we have world leaders bragging that through geo-engineering they can control the world’s weather. This topic has been discussed at length at the world and climate conferences. The problem that exists is two-fold. They are deifying their own abilities and making themselves gods. And, they are NOT using it for good to bring water to the deserts, or warmth to the frozen out-lands, but to wreak havoc upon mankind until they fully submit in fear to their power. The Lord won’t be mocked, nor will He allow this to go on forever. Revelation 11:18 speaks of the end of the tribulation time when God’s fierce displeasure is made known… “The nations raged, but Your wrath came, and the time for the dead to be judged, and for rewarding Your servants, the prophets and saints, and those who fear Your name both small and great, and to destroy those who destroyed the earth.” The disciples asked, “Who is this Man that can control the weather?” Isaiah prophetically asked, “Who is this coming with stained red clothing, who is wearing royal robes and marching in great strength? ‘It is I, the Lord, announcing your salvation! It is I, the Lord, who has the power to save!’” (Isaiah 63:1) Who is He? He is The One who is mighty to save, BUT, is also the One who is mighty to judge. As the world churns in sin and turmoil, taunting our Almighty God as Pharaoh did, stating, “Who is this God that I should obey Him?” May our voices be heard above the clatter stating, “We know who He is! He is Faithful and True, a Savior of sinners, and our coming King. Praise His name!”
