This Honor

As we approach the Independence Days for Canada and the USA, I marvel that we have been overtaken by Marxism so quickly and our Constitutions trampled so freely. How did this happen? Every country has three lines of defense… a police force and judges to protect from anarchy within, and a military force to protect from dangers without. When corrupt judges are appointed who will not uphold the law, the police force is compromised to protect the lawbreakers over the citizens, and the military is infiltrated by the enemy – things are over.

When Christ’s Kingdom comes, every Believer has a role to play that perhaps few know about… “Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edges sword in their hand (the Bible); to exercise righteous retribution upon the nations, and punishments upon the people; to bind their (corrupt) kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute upon them the justice prescribed: this honor have all His saints.” – (Psalm 149:6-9)

And just in case someone says, “That’s the Old Testament,” listen to these verses in the New… “Dare any of you, having a matter against one another, go to court before the unjust, and not before the saints? Do you not know that the saints shall judge the world? And if the world shall be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters now? Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more things that pertain to this life?” – (1 Corinthians 6:1-3)

As future judges, practicing today is wise. Judges must know the Law – and we must know God’s Word. We must not be content to hear one side of a story against someone, but to hear both. Judges were forbidden to show favoritism to friends, the rich, or the famous, but to show equal application of the Law.

When Jesus said that we will rule and reign with Him, He meant it. So, child of God, the next time you feel like a nobody, remember, you’re a Judge in the Kingdom of Christ, and your credentials will be love for Christ, and love for His Word. We will never be bribed, intimidated, or corrupted.

Get ready.
