Spiritual darkness is filling the earth in ways we’ve never witnessed before. And those that love the Lord, and long for His appearing, are desperate for this evil fog to lift. “It’s suffocating to live with so much evil all around us,” a Christian business owner exclaimed.
The truth is, we were never meant to live this way. God’s will was that we would all show love, honor, and respect to our fellow man, as a fellow image-bearer of God. He instructed us to, “do unto others as we would have others do unto us.” This everyday constant evil is a form of antichrist. The spirit it has brought to the world is completely against the attributes of God. When will it end?
David knew what it was like to live in what seems like perpetual stress and darkness... “For You alone Lord, save a humble people, but the haughty and arrogant You will bring down. For it is You alone who lights my lamp. The Lord my God lightens my darkness.” (Psalm 18:27, 28)
Friends, when we received Christ, we received the Light of Truth. “It is God who said, Light shall shine out of darkness, and this Light shall shine in our hearts to reveal the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:6)
What a privilege to be bearers of His life-giving Light in such times of darkness! And to think that this is just a glimpse of the Morning that awaits us.
Take heart, dear ones. This darkness won’t last.
