The truth about snares …

Writer's picture: Lisa CatafordLisa Cataford

When the Rapture takes place, Jesus said … “As a snare it shall come on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” – (Luke 21:34,35)

The interesting fact about a “snare” is that God sent warnings about not being caught in sin through every prophet of the Bible. For example, “A fool’s mouth is his own destruction and his lips are the snare of his soul”. Why? Because “the fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God’.”

Then there are those who love evil … “In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare.” Also, there are those who value the praise of men more than the praise of God … “The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.” How about, “they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare.” Or those who listen to false prophets … “the false prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways, and hatred (to God and men) in the house of his God.”

The truth is, no man knows when his/her time as up, or when, “as fish are taken in an evil net, and as birds are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly upon them.”

The Rapture will happen suddenly, as a snare - but it is not the snare. The snare is sin. And those NOT playing footsies in the sins of the world, will be rescued on that Day when Jesus removes His Bride from the wrath to come. And the truth is …

The world's been warned.
