The Bible asks, “If the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (Psalm 11:3). The answer is to pray and start rebuilding.
We’re living in days of spiritual storms. “Floods of ungodly people” with propaganda intended to destroy our foundations and divide our nations from within, are sweeping through our schools, universities, and media. “Winds of false teaching” from those “laying in wait to deceive” are everywhere. But Jesus already told us how to find safe ground…
“Therefore, whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house upon The Rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded upon The Rock” (Matthew 7:24,25).
The foundational truths of life are found in only One place – God’s Word. There is no other Authority. It’s the only Book on earth that is “given by Inspiration (the very breath and mouth) of God.” As “evil men and seducers grow worse and worse,” The Lord instructs us to continue to stand upon His Word (2 Timothy 3:13-17).
When our hearts feel overwhelmed with the evil around us, it’s time to open God’s Word and find safe ground upon Jesus Christ, The Rock.
Storms end, and who will be left standing when it’s over? Those who have received Jesus Christ as Lord and built their lives on His Word.
