The Price Of Truth

Truth is one of the main characteristics of God… “He is the way, the truth, and the life.” Through the ages His Truth stands forever strong, a Pillar of strength for His followers to rely on.
But the Truth of God is a double-edged sword: - cutting through lies and deceit to reveal Truth, and simultaneously bringing division between those that love the Truth of God and those that resent it. This great divide is widening as we enter deeper into these end days.
The Bible says that the “Truth will set us free,” but we often pay a price for embracing it. Consider the movement among many Christian churches today that teach that we don’t need repentance to get to Heaven. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). Are we willing to stand up and speak the Truth of God’s word?
Another common lie circulating in churches today is that “all faiths lead to God.” “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is NO other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved”(Acts 4:12). Will we defend this mighty Truth?
Jesus spoke Truth in order to save lost souls. Truth saves! We are doing the same. Truth may be offensive to a world that has accepted that there’s “no absolute truth,” but there is - and it’s found in Jesus. To be a Truth speaker is to reflect Christ. It is our responsibility as Christians to speak Truth, in grace, just as He did and commit the rest to God.
It is better to offend someone with the Truth of their sin, and their need of salvation, than to flatter them on their way to hell. May we be willing to pay the price of Truth in order that His saving grace may be heard.
