When God called Moses to return to Egypt and lead the Israelites to freedom, Moses asked, “But who shall I say has sent me?” God answered saying, “I AM THAT I AM… This is My name for ever, and this is My memorial to all generations.” (Exodus 3:14,15).
When Jesus walked on this earth as the Son of God, He said to those denying His deity, “You are from beneath; I am from Above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. I say therefore to you, that you shall die in your sins: for if you do not believe that I AM, you shall die in your sins” (John 8:24).
The foundational truth of all Evangelical Christianity is that Jesus Christ is ‘Jehovah Messiah’: God manifest in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16). The first sign of salvation is the confession that Jesus Christ is God (1 Corinthians 12:1). And the mark of every antichrist and false teacher is the denial of this foundational truth (1 John 4:1-15).
Jesus said… “If I am not doing the works of My Father (God), then don’t believe Me. But if I am doing them, though you do not believe My claim, believe the works, that you may know, and believe, that the Father (God) is in Me, and I in Him.” (John 10:37,38).
Jesus’ miracles were the credentials of His claim to be the only begotten Son of God, and He expected all humanity to comprehend it... “If I had not done among them works which no other man could do, they would have had no sin: but now they have both seen and hated both Me and My Father (God)” (John 15:24).
True Christians bow in loving allegiance before Jesus, confessing: “My Lord and My God.”
