O Star of all the stars that shine,
There’s one forever true,
A star upon a bed of white -
Outlined in royal blue.
It led the Wise Men to the Child,
Who came the world to save
To David’s Lord and David’s Son,
It guided all the way.
It shone upon the tiny Heir
To Israel’s royal throne,
Announcing God had come to earth,
wrapped up in flesh and bone,
Whose kingdom shall not ever end –
God’s covenant stands fast!
The oath to David is secure,
Though many years have passed.
Today the Star of David flies
On Zion’s holy hill,
Proclaiming boldly to the world,
God keeps His promise still!
Though nations rage and try to cast
The Son of God away,
The Jewish King will yet return,
And when He does, He’ll stay!
God bless the Star of David true,
Which still this message brings,
That Jesus Christ is coming back -
To reign as King of kings!
And every heart that loves this King,
And in whose heart He reigns,
Has pledged allegiance to this Star,
Until He comes again!
