Revealer Of Secrets

“Truly, your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a Revealer of secrets, seeing you could reveal this secret!” – (Daniel 2:47)

This was King Nebuchadnezzar’s exclamation after Daniel revealed both his dream and its interpretation. The king had wondered what would take place after his kingdom and the Lord gave him a dream. The king wisely refused to tell his counselors the dream, saying, “I’ll know that you can interpret it rightly, if you can first tell it!” No magi had ever heard such an unreasonable request. But God revealed the dream and its interpretation to Daniel.

This brings us to another great truth. Not only is our God the “Revealer of secrets” and a Revealer of future events, but the Bible says, “Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing without revealing His secrets to His servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7). Godly men wrote what God told them, so our Bibles are rightly called “revelation.” Every word is “God-breathed” and there is nothing Surer to build our lives upon.

Jesus told His disciples, “Do not fear (oppressors), for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed, and hidden, that shall not be made public. What I tell you in darkness, speak in the light: and what you hear in the ear, preach upon the housetops” (Matthew 10:26,27). We can confidently proclaim every Word He has spoken.

Because Jesus IS Truth, He is the Preserver of Truth. When He was crucified with thieves, He alone arose. You can’t kill Truth, bury Truth, or hide Truth. It will spring out of the ground. He assures us in His Word, “The eyes of the Lord preserve knowledge (truth), and He overthrows the words of the treacherous dealer” (Proverbs 22:12).

Perfect justice is coming. Watch.
