In a time when we are inundated with lies, standing for truth is an act of valor. It’s worth noting that when Jesus returns, this is the atmosphere He comes to save us from… “Legal rights have been turned backward, and justice stands afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. Yes, truth fails, and the one who departs from evil only makes himself a prey. And the Lord saw it, and it displeased Him that there was no justice.” In response, He puts on the garments of the Warrior, and the Redeemer shall come…” – (Isaiah 59:14,15)
This sea of lies gives us all the more reason to rejoice that Jesus is The Truth, gave us His Word of Truth, sealed us with His Spirit of Truth, and left us to build Churches which are to be “pillars and bases of the Truth” in our communities. From this oasis, we are to pray for “all people, kings and all that are in authority… for this is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who will have all people to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of The Truth.” (1 Timothy 2:1-4).
And after Jesus appears and cleans up the lies, He foretold of a coming day when… “he who seeks to bless himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of Truth, and the one who swears an oath in the earth shall swear that oath by the God of Truth… For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come to mind. So be glad (today) and rejoice forever in that which I am creating…” – (Isaiah 65:16-18).
“The lip of truth shall be established forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment.” – Proverbs 12:19
