“Behold My Servant, whom I uphold; My Elect, in whom My soul delights. I have put My Spirit upon Him: He shall bring forth justice to the Gentiles. He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause His voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed shall He not break, and the smoking flax shall He not quench. He shall bring forth justice in truth. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till He has set justice in the earth: and the continents shall wait for His law.” – (Isaiah 42:1-4)
This Scripture applied to Jesus, the Servant-Son, as He walked on earth, not as a political activist, but as Living Truth and the Savior from sin. Even while rulers were plotting His death, He continued His ministry of love… “When Jesus knew it, He withdrew Himself from there: and great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all, and charged them that they should not make Him known. That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, “Behold My Servant…” (Matthew 12:14-21).
Now that the Gospel has encircled the earth, Revelation shows Jesus rising from the Throne He shares with the Father, preparing to finish the work His Cross began… “And I beheld, and, lo! In the midst of the Throne stood a Lamb, looking as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth” (Revelation 5:6).
What does it mean? The Lamb slain for the sins of the world is “perfect love.” Seven horns is symbolic for “perfect power,” and seven eyes are symbolic for “perfect knowledge.” He alone is qualified to bring perfect justice to this troubled earth.
Our longing eyes shall see Him stand.
