Canada, the US, and the UK, all publicly announced that their munitions stockpile is almost depleted from sending it all to Ukraine. It begs the question, (if it is true): Who would be so foolish to announce it to the world? Nothing like telling the enemy this is a good time to strike.
Rather than fall prey to their intentional fearmongering agenda, it’s far better to focus on where our confidence lies – in Christ. When Abram left the world to follow Him, the Lord said, “Fear not, Abram, I am your Shield, and your exceeding great Reward” (Genesis 15:1). That marvelous promise belongs to every Believer who, like Abraham, has traded the world’s tinsel for unsearchable riches in Christ.
God doesn’t need an army to guarantee a win – He never has. “There is no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few” (1 Samuel 14:6). Many times He has saved by none at all, working salvation for His people without a single soldier raising a sword.
However, Jesus foretold of a coming rescue for His people and that’s where our hope lies. He used two words to describe it. The first word describes “how” the rescue takes place … “Who gave Himself for our sins that He might deliver (TO PLUCK OUT OF HARMS WAY) us from this present evil world” (Galatians 1:4). The second word describes the speed and purpose of this rescue… “Wait for His Son from Heaven, even Jesus, who delivers (TO RUSH TO ONE’S RESCUE AND DRAW THEM TO YOURSELF) from the wrath to come” (1 Thessalonians 1:9,10).
We are neither helpless nor defenseless. Jesus is our Rock, our Fortress, and our coming Deliverer. “You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord: He is your Help and your Shield.” Maranatha.
