Looking For Hope

Isn’t it interesting that the older we get and the longer we endure this life, our desires change. The usual goals of a beautiful home, a nice car, great vacations in exotic places… they all seem to vaporize in importance and our hearts become focused on what is eternal - Christ!

King David had it all, but his desires had been hewn my the Master Chiseler until they were refined and pure…  “One thing I have desired of the Lord that I will seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in His temple” (Psalm 27:4).

The Apostle Paul was growing older and had suffered greatly for the sake of the Gospel. He stated, “I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far, but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body… for your progress and joy in the faith” (Philippians 1:23-25).

As our hearts and minds process all the changes that are taking place in our world, we realize afresh daily that Jesus is near. Globalism is on the march and will be successful as seen in Revelation 13. AI is advancing rapidly and will be the antichrist’s best tool to control the world and “make war against the saints.” Individual rights and freedoms are being stripped until everyone complies with the World Economic Forum’s agenda of total rule over humanity.

BUT, we are not theirs to control and we are not of this world, but of His Heavenly Kingdom. Our compass points One direction and that’s Home. “Looking for that Blessed Hope and the glorious appearing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13).

Friends, keep looking for your Blessed Hope, He is so very near.
