Impossible Deliverance

Devotional by Cheryl Hall-Laos

God has many specialties, but one of them we see repeated in Scripture, is His love of making the impossible, possible. Satan has done a good job at convincing believers that this great type of deliverance was only for the saints of old, as though we are less loved and less important. This is so far from the truth and needs to be called out. God still loves to make the impossible, possible and the hopeless, victorious.

The God that led Moses and the Children of Israel by a pillar of smoke during the day, and fire by night, still guides His people with His Holy Spirit.

As I write this I’m seated on a plane, 30,000-feet above the earth, seated in front of a young girl we have prayed for as her neck was broken on a quad. We live over 3000-miles a part, but through God’s great design, the one I’ve prayed for fervently, is on my same plane. God saved her precious life, and repeatedly opened doors for her to get the help she needed, and now her halo is going to be removed. God is still a deliverer from hardship and trials of all kinds.

If we think our prayers are futile, we must think again, for God eagerly looks to “Show Himself strong on behalf of those who love Him.” (2 Chronicles 16:9)

Friends, pray without ceasing! Look for God’s great hand in every moment of every day. He is there, moving mountains and “making our crooked paths straight.”

What a joy to be in His great care.
