Israel is not forgotten by God, nor are they replaced with the church. God’s promises to them are as solid as the day He gave them. These present atrocities are all part of the birth pangs that were prophesied. We will all share in these trials in varying degrees, but God’s promises are unchanging: and His Word stands true despite the overwhelming presence of evil.
“Behold the days are coming, declares the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers when I took them by the hand to take them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant that they broke, though I was their Husband, declares the Lord.
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house if Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put My law within them, and I will write it in their hearts. And I will be their God and they shall be My people.
And no longer will each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, “Know the Lord,” for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity and I will remember their sins no more.” (Jeremiah 31:31-34)
Just as intense trials draw us all to our knees, the nation of Israel will one day ALL come to know Jesus as their Messiah-“They will look upon Him whom they pierced and cry like one that loses an only child.” This great salvation IS coming! Pray for the salvation of the Jewish nation. The apostle Paul longed to see this day, so badly, that he stated that he wished he could “Be accursed that his fellow Jews could be saved.” (Romans 9:3).
Pray, dear ones, for the eyes of the Jews to be opened to their Messiah. They have a Husband, a Savior, and a Deliverer, that loves them with His very life.
Pray!
