How Things Will Change

According to travel data, the country having the highest tourism per year - for sightseeing, food, and fun - is France. The country having the highest tourism for religious purposes is Saudi Arabia, as Muslim nations flow to Mecca for their pilgrimage.

But the Bible tells of the future "tourist hot spot" of the world… “And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’s House shall be established in the top of the mountains (over all other countries), and shall be exalted above the hills (small countries); and ALL NATIONS SHALL FLOW TO IT. And many people shall go and say, ‘Come, everyone, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob, and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths…” (Isaiah 2:1-3).

Imagine that! Jesus will be the Tourist Attraction of the world, the Desire of Nations, the Wonder of the world. O, how things will change! Today, Jesus is still “Him who mankind despises, Him who the nation abhors, a Servant of rulers.” But at His return… “Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship.” The One who died, really is alive, and has returned to usher in everlasting righteousness, just as He promised (Isaiah 49:7,8).

Like Abraham who, “against hope believed in hope,” by faith we rise above the corruption of “what is,” to anticipate the joys of what “shall be” when the Trumpet sounds. May today bring a fresh opportunity to share the Gospel with those who have no hope, inviting them to put their trust in Christ, who not only saves from sin and death, but who keeps us by His power for the joys to come.
