His Ways Are Perfect

Revelation records a beautiful song at the end of the Tribulation.  John saw those who had gotten the victory over the beast and his mark, standing on the sea of glass, singing … “Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are Your ways, O King of Saints!” (Revelation 15:3).

What a faith-builder this scene is for us! The Great Tribulation is the worst time since the creation of the world. Those who go through it were not Believers at the beginning of it, but trusted Christ after the Rapture. Yet their testimonies are recorded in advance to encourage us in our day.

Our world is in a global divide. The recent SOTU address revealed the great chasm between good and evil that only God’s judgment will cure. Many are asking, “When will He return? How much longer will He wait?”

When the disciples in the storm said to Jesus, “Lord, don’t you care that we perish?”  they were concerned about His timing. How long would He wait to do something? He said gently, “Why are you fearful, O ye of little faith?” God in flesh was in their boat. After the Cross, there is no record of the disciples ever doubting the love of Christ again. It was tangibly, visibly, proven for all time.

So while our storm intensifies, we know that Jesus “dwells in our hearts by faith.” While the global powers gather their forces, we know that we are still the salt of the earth. And while these days are evil, each day is still a day of salvation to people all over the world.

One day we’ll be standing with all the saints we’ve read about, sharing our victory stories, and we’ll agree together, “Just and true are Your ways, O King of saints.”
