God told Isaiah to, “Comfort ye, comfort ye, my people. Speak to the heart of Jerusalem… her Savior is coming.” (Isaiah 40). God gave all the prophets a view of Israel’s future and tells the Church that we are to pray for Israel, win her to Christ, and give Him no rest until He fulfills His promises to her (Isaiah 62:7). God Himself has sworn…

“Behold, I will bring [Israel] health and cure, and I will reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth… and I will cleanse them from all their lawless deeds, by which they sinned against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities…

And [Israel] shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise, and an honor before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do to them, and shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure to it…

Thus says the LORD: There shall be heard in [Jerusalem] again… the voice of joy and gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the bride, the voice of those who say, ‘Praise the LORD of Hosts! For the LORD is good, for His mercy endures forever!’…

Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, that I will perform that good word which I have promised to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah. In those days, and at that time, I will cause the Branch of Righteousness to spring up (Jesus); and He shall execute justice and righteousness in the land…

In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name with which she shall be called: The LORD Our Righteousness.” (Jeremiah 33:6-16)
