Even At The Doors

“Now if the fall of them (Israel) resulted in the riches of the world (hearing of salvation in Christ), and the diminishing of them the riches of the nations; how much more their fulness? … For if the casting away of them means the reconciling of the world (through the Gospel), what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?” – (Romans 11:12,15)

Today is Israel’s Independence Day, celebrating their 75th anniversary of national sovereignty since 1948. They lost sovereignty way back in 607 BC, the year Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, first attacked. The Jewish people became mere subjects of every conquering nation until May 14, 1948 (Iyar 5, 5708 on their calendar), after the Holocaust.

The Holocaust was Satan’s attempt to keep Israel from returning to the land because it means the return of Christ is near… “Hear the word of the Lord, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say: He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd does his flock” (Jeremiah 31:10).

Jesus said that the generation that saw Israel’s return would also see His… “Now learn a parable of the fig tree (Israel): when its branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves (national revival), you know that summer (Christ’s return) is near. So likewise, when you shall see all these things know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say to you: This generation shall not pass until all these things are fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24: 32-35).

Notice that Jesus said, “Even at the doors,” plural. What doors? The Bible speaks of doors of our cities, churches, homes, hearts, prisons, and graves. What an accountability there will be!

Israel, the greatest modern-day miracle before our eyes, means we’re on the cusp of the Rapture… closer than ever to the return of our King.

Happy 75th Birthday, Israel!
