Jesus’ heart was heavy! Soon, He would be going to the cross. The crushing weight of the sin of the world was about to be cast upon Him. In a prayer, shouted towards Heaven, He proclaimed, “Father, glorify Your name!” Then a voice came from Heaven, “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.” The crowd that was there and heard it said it had thundered; others said an angel had spoken to Him. Jesus said, ‘This voice was for your benefit, not Mine.’” (John 12:28-30)
The voice of God the Father was heard clearly by those whose hearts longed to hear from Him, but for others, they explained it away as thunder, or an angel’s voice, but they refused to acknowledge that God had spoken. Why? Because to acknowledge that God sees all, knows all, and is involved in every detail here on earth, demands accountability and submission to His power.
To “miss” the message God is shouting to the world through millions of voices declaring His word to a lost world, is first, a willful deafness, and secondly, a spiritual blindness, that confuses and distorts truth.
Listen carefully to what is going on in the world… as the world plays, works, and distracts itself with trivialities, Israel just slipped in a peace agreement with the Palestinians for 7 years. It’s part of the UN SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Summit, enacted Monday, September 18th… the goals are to be met by the standards set out by Agenda 2030. It’s 2023 now, and Daniel 9:27 prophesied that, “The king will make a seven-year treaty with the people, but after half that time, he will break his pledge and stop the Jews from all their sacrifices and all their offerings…”
Friends, Jesus is coming soon. Are we listening to what’s being said? Is it just thundering in the distance, or do we hear the words of prophecy ringing true, word for word? Do not miss it.
