Don't Be Deceived

Devotional by Cheryl Hall-Laos

“Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and light unto my path.” (Psalm 119:105)

We have just witnessed the complete destruction of Lahaina, Maui, and the thought keeps repeating in our minds, “How rapidly destruction came! How fast plans were changed! And how unprepared many were for its onslaught!” A top world-wide teacher and former secret serviceman, stated this last week that we are about to face a tsunami of world events, including “natural” disasters, unprecedented in scope and severity, including more unleashed viruses, that will lead to a power grab by the globalist elites, the likes we’ve never seen before. Are we ready?

The only way to be ready is to hold the Light of God’s Word out in front of us, to illuminate each step, bring clarity to confusion, and shine truth on deception. Anyone who tries to survive the “birth pangs” of these end days without His guidance will certainly be deceived into believing the lies perpetrated upon us, and will be sucked into the panic vacuum that they use to control us.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to ride through these worldly storms in peace and sound mind? Through Christ, this is possible. “You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” (Isaiah 26:3) “God has not given us the spirit of fear (the world does that), but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

May we take Jesus’s words to heart, and “See to it that we are not deceived,” as we continue in His Word, receiving Light for the darkness, Truth for the lies, and Discernment for the confusion. If we draw nearer to Him, we will find His sweet peace.
