“During the night Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Up! Leave my people, you, and the Israelites! Go worship the Lord as you have requested.” (Exodus 12:31)…
“So the people took their dough before the yeast was added, and carried it upon their shoulders in kneading troughs wrapped in clothing… and the Israelites began their journey.” (Exodus 12:34-37)
One day soon our journey here will be over. Our trials, that broke our hearts and aged our bodies, will come to a close. God will be true to His promise, to “Make a way of escape, that we may be able to bear it.”
A voice will be heard… “Rise up My love, My fair one, and come away!” (Song of Solomon 2:10). Oh joy beyond joy, our Bridegroom has called us Home!
“For the Lord Himself will come down from Heaven with a loud command, and the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.”
(1 Thessalonians 4:16)
“There’s a day that’s drawing near
When this darkness breaks to Light
And the shadows disappear
And my faith shall be my eyes
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagle’s wings
Before my God, fall on my knees
I will rise.”
