Appointed Once To Die

“It is appointed unto mankind once to die, but after this the Judgment” - (Hebrews 9:27).

The Bible alone gives us a glimpse into life after death. Jesus told of a rich man who died unexpectedly. He considered himself healthy, wealthy, and wise, but he had put off preparing for eternity. The moment after death, he found himself in Hell… “And in Hell he lifted up his eyes, being in torment” (Luke 16:23).

How often this scenario plays out each day. While the rich man was unprepared, others have been deceived. The terrorist, who imagines he serves his god by murdering others, boasts that life begins after death, only to awaken in Hell, realizing he’s been lied to. Yet, both the unprepared and the deceived never bothered to investigate “truth.” They trusted their delusions.

In every heart there must be a love for truth. The Bible is a proven Book and Jesus is a proven Savior… “Jesus Christ our Lord, who was made of the seed of David according to the flesh and declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of Holiness, by the resurrection from the dead” (Romans 1:3,4).

Jesus said salvation is an urgent “today” issue, not to be put off, because there’s no coming back from the gates of death. True life begins, not the moment we die, but the moment we pray and receive Christ into our hearts as Savior and Lord… “Verily, verily, I say to you: he that hears My word, and believes on Him that sent Me, HAS everlasting life, and shall not come into Judgment, but HAS passed from death into life” (John 5:24).

Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life. No one enters Heaven except through Him (John 14:6).
