All Things New

There is no such thing as an unchanged life in Christ. As the Bible says… “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away, behold ALL things have become new.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17

When the Holy Spirit moves into our lives, He performs heart surgery – circumcising it from loving wrong things, infusing it with the very nature of Christ – righteousness. Our lives begin to produce “fruit of the Spirit” we never possessed before, and “gifts of the Spirit” for serving the Lord begin to show themselves. As the song says, “Things I loved before have passed away; things I love far more, have come to stay.”

Being “in Christ” also opens up a whole new realm of blessing we never knew before… “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with ALL spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” – (Ephesians 1:3). “Heavenly places” or “The Heavenlies” is that spiritual realm of faith, warfare, and realities, that we now operate in. It’s not “some” blessings that are ours, but ALL.” Every possible blessing available, is ours in Christ. Thrilling!

We are “new creations” still living in an old environment, but all the darkness, hostility, and corruption only draws us closer to His side. The final words of Revelation are sweet to our souls… “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away…

And He that sat upon the Throne said, ‘Behold, I make ALL THINGS NEW.’ And He said to me, ‘Write, for these words and true and faithful.’ And He said to me, ‘It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give to him that is athirst of the fountain of the Water of Life freely. The one who overcomes shall inherit ALL THINGS…” – (Revelation 21:4-7)

May these realities set the tone for the remainder of our days.
