Satan has always required death to satisfy his lust for power over humanity. In Ezekiel’s time, many of the Israelites fell to the pressure of the majority and offered their sons and daughters as offerings. They believed the lie that the whole nation wouldn’t be blessed unless they killed their babies as an offering. “You slaughtered My children and offered them up as an offering by fire.” (Ezekiel 16:21)
How had they so quickly forgotten that the Lord had told them that “Children are a heritage from the Lord; they are a reward from Him” (Psalm 127:3), and “Happy is the man whose quiver is full of them” (Psalm 127:5). How did the words of God get drowned out so easily by group-think, and mob rule? It still happens today. Just recently a church in Canada announced they will be holding special “passing over” ceremonies to those that want to do assisted suicide in their church. Similarly, a US pastor proudly and publicly advocates for the killing of the unborn as a “vital human right.” They’ve sold out to popular opinion.
The wrath of God is building up. He states that the killing of those made in His image is provoking Him to anger (2 Kings 17:17). This anger cannot be swept under a carpet of grace, it will be poured out as seen in the seven bowls of wrath in Revelation 16. It’s coming.
May 28, 2022, the CEO, Al-bert Bour-la, of P-fi-zer (a vac—cine and drug company), took the stage at the Wor-ld E-con-omic For-um in Da-vos, Swit-zerland. He stated the following, “I think it really was a dream that we had, when we started with my team in ‘19(2019). The first week we met in January of 2019, in California. We set up goals for the next five years, and one of them was by 2023 we will reduce the number of people in the world by 50%. I think today, this dream is becoming a reality.” As he concluded, loud applause filled the conference hall. God hears them cheering for massive genocide, and He will step in.
Friends, the spirit of darkness is rampant in this world. Satan and all his demonic minions have come to steal, kill and destroy, and they are, but Jesus has come that we might have life and life abundantly! He died a sinner’s death, that we might live in His righteousness. There are no words great enough to describe His beautiful, life-giving love! When the evil powers-that-be speak of death, and cheer it on, we hear God say, “I am come that you may have life!” May we celebrate what He’s given us! Let’s live joyful lives for Him! Let’s share His message of love and redemption, and life eternal. May we have big, happy families without guilt or shame. Celebrate each life as a miracle made by God. This is life, God’s way and it’s a beautiful thing!
